We started with two huge trees, just begging to be put to use.
Then some tree guys hung some really long pieces of rope, which made for really good Tarzan imitations.
Randy hung a swing we bought 10 years ago when we went to Brazil. It hangs from the giant white oak near the back of the yard and has a nice, gentle swing to it.
And finally, we rigged up a swing where the yard is more sloped (slopey?). That swing makes you feel like you are flying. Which, perhaps you are if Randy is doing the pushing!
Do you see Rand in the orange stripes up there?
Amelia makes me nervous on this - she thinks hanging on tight with two hands is optional, so she only gets small pushes.
Rain boots are not optional. It's been so wet and muddy, they are a must in the yard right now. Too bad they are tearing up the grass!
Clara is too small to swing.

Wow awesome all I can say is that I am jealous. I have wanted a big tree with a swing in it for ever. Maybe when we have grandchildren we will be able to hang a swing in our trees for them. Darn people who don't plant any trees for ten years. Looks like fun wish I could come join you guys.
Awesome! I love how high rand is in that picture-wow!
