As mentioned in my rather stressed-out post from last week that Rand got a tooth pulled. It has been wiggly for a while, but since Lindsey has been losing teeth left and right, we didn't really think about it as being too odd. At his appointment a few weeks ago, friendly dentist showed me his x-ray and said that it appeared he must have hit his tooth on something hard enough to kill the root. So she suggested we bring him in to have it "wiggled," which is a nice way of saying they were going to pull it out.
Rand was brave and chatty and a good sport about it. What a great kid! He was especially excited for the tooth fairy to come - he even wrote her a note saying how he was brave at the dentist. So she brought him a dollar and a lego guy. The first tooth is a big deal after all!
Now Rand and Lindsey are sporting twin gaps in their smiles. I find this rather adorable! Even more adorable is Rand's new lisp. I expect that to go away as soon as he gets used to his new mouth, but I'll enjoy it until that happens.
