#Dos

Okay, this isn't actually a Halloween #2 post. Let's face it, I'm not a good low-light photog so we didn't get any trick-or-treating pictures worth recording.

October was great and long. We did lots of stuff, such as:

The Waterford Fair in VA. It was a lovely early fall day and a beautiful drive. I want to live in one of those 18th century brick homes. We saw some cool craftsmen and the kids got to try a few things. It was fun, but I think would be even more fun with just Randy and I on a date so we could really look at everything...

We took out a few crazy holly trees to open up the bottom area of our yard. Then rotatilled and planted grass. And by we, I mean Randy, with a small bit of help from us - Lindsey and I both tried our hands at rotatilling and we all threw grass seeds around, though I'm not sure if that was so effective. Mostly I just enjoyed the weather and held this girl:

Anyway, grass area before:

After: (Grow grass grow!)

Lindsey's 7th birthday!

How is she so old already? We had a spooky birthday party.

Played games.

Hit a Pinata!

Grandma and Grandpa C came to visit. We love having them! Amelia keeps asking where "Gama Gordon" is, haha!

For Lindsey's actual birthday, we did a scavenger hunt with super clever rhyming clues (go me) during which perhaps all four children cried at one point or another and I wanted to yell, "This is fun [d-word]!" to everyone. But held off and Lindsey found her gift - a new-to-us fancy big kid bike she is in love with. Whew.

We went to Dutch Wonderland in PA.

It was fun and we had a great time,

We agree that Hershey Park is cooler with better food and we will make sure not to miss Hershey Park day again next year :)

We made it through a great and busy month. And now that the Halloween stuff is all put away and things are clean and schedules are simple again, I'm very thankful it's November!

I love the witch out front from your last post, and the costumes so cute. The grass under the trees is beautiful - good for you guys. You did so much in October! What a fun month. I'm envious of the Christensen grandparents.
